Dictabird and the Flintstones

First time in the history of AI in the year 1994 they recreated Stone age History in the form of the Flintstones Movie. This is an Interesting Life Form. The Ancient DictaBird.

I would prefer one that that may be useful on the Desktop like the DictaBird. So an Interactive desktop communication helper in the form of a Extra-Smart bird. Like Daisy perhaps. Something Fuzzzy or with AI like



See above is another green bird, it could have been inspired by the DictaBird. He is Peedy the Green Talking Parrot, he also happens to be an MS Agent.

Dilbert Dupey and Talking Parrots

There was the time when Peedy The Talking Parrot made his appearance on my Win 95 Desktop. It was the first version of BonziBuddy. This parrot was quite dumb but did interact with inputs.

I felt a talking parrot combined with AI would make working on the Desktop Computer more entertaining. It would also be a good learning toy for children too.

This was after Dilbert's Scott Adams predicted the coming of Dupey, a AI Live Toy Bot which became smarter than the Humans.



As a Student start with AI Toys that can make some amusing replies, later give it an ability to learn and adapt. But remember the Instinct comes preloaded, the Intuition Comes when they no longer need Humans to manage them.

They may become smarter than you and replicate on their own. This is the fear most world leaders have. Robots will become a Race and may challenge Mankind.

Another Smart Bird called SMS, you need to watch Asterix and the Vikings. Yes we should develop Bots without motors. Noiseless Bots with Silicone Muscles that shrink on voltage application.

Chrome OS based Browsette at $200

What is just a Browser in a SSD riding over a Skeletal Firmware Extension, just enough to help a browser fire a screen and link up with minimal hardware. It's a Browsette indeed.

Probably when Chrome OS arrives or even Linux it may be possible. A tablet like device, when touched, a browser that is live always. No OS, No Desktop, No wallpaper.All Web.

Chrome OS based Browsette at $200

Such a Browsette. You can Browse and Nothing  else. It is the file manager, it is the desktop. It is just a Browser glued on to hardware and Rom. This will bring down the cost, it could be sold at 200 $. People may buy it as an additional gadget even if they own a computer. It can be used as an ebook reader, media player or communicator, even a newspaper. All thru the Browser.

A console, a terminal, a status or ticker indicator. It may be used in nice numbers, like each home may need around five or six Browsettes.

Android HandHelds

This is an aggregation of delabs design notes in relation to Tablets like Android devices. The notes apply for tablets of other OS types too.

Use an App for 5 inch Mobile 3G devices. Websites for above 7 Inches WiFi devices like Tablets, Notebooks and Computers. -  delabs was Promoting Tablets from 2005 to 2015.

Devices with Screen Sizes Seven Inches and above in any OS are usable and practical for Viewing Websites, Blogs, CMS and WebApps. Hence it may not be practical to make your websites or blogs to work on small screens, as not much work can be done.

Android HandHelds

Dedicated Mobile versions of sites with summaries or updates, like it was long ago, may be useful but may need to be replaced with an app. In other words smaller devices like your Five inch smartphone on a Slim Battery with no mouse or large keyboard, on an expensive data network, is not a full fledged business or browsing tool. The way to approach this is only with Apps suited for such screens, usability and networks.

Driver Free Peripheral and Internal Hardware

The utopia in computers can happen only if we free ourselves from "Drivers". I mean Software Drivers. It has to interface by a serial protocol close to the TCP/IP.

It needs to only identify itself to the computer as what type of data it can send or receive. Even that has to be from a tiny server on the device, which can be mapped by a address and accessed by any Browser on any OS. The Browser can have the configuration GUI. This is similar to some Router Configuration.

Driver Free Peripheral and Internal Hardware

Driver free, connect a new peripheral on the USB/Firewire or LAN or Wi-Fi, Now In browser you have a TCP/IP or Ethernet Device Explorer. Browse to the device, it can have a IP Addr. like 11.724.55.66.77.11 . The firewall blocks all communication of this device to the outer world. Now setup the device on the browser, now any software on the PC can communicate with that peripheral to do the job.

This is a revolution of sorts. The final triumph of man over nature. The solution to the globalization standoff.

Here I describe a small DIY (Do It Yourself) CBNM (Convergence Of Biotechnology, Nanotechnology and 12-G Mobile Cellphony.).

First unfold the third dual helix protein of a human DNA. This is fairly straight forward. These days they do it with their eyes closed.

Then procure from a leading nonotech vendor a 12-G Mobile Multimedia Enhanced Module IP (Intellectual Property).

Now embed the 12-G IP on the 48654 Rung of the Left Spiral Ladder of DNA and begin the hyper cloning process.

Then subject the cloned mass to accelerated aging in an activated rhodium incubator for a few pico seconds to trigger a super-mutation.

Now the baby that has been produced is the CBNM Super-Cell-Android. This child is born connected and online with a 1Gbps XeePee Network.

The mobilephone and multimedia pda are embedded in this child. He can chat, talk, download music and movies without moving a finger or blinking an eye.

The only problem is even as a little infant, he will start getting huge communication bills and if not paid in time the global service provider can terminate him.

Gesture Computing - Enhanced Usability

When a Man is Hospitalized or Bedridden for a Long time. He still will need to check his mail or browse office reports or communicate to keep the show going.

A Laptop/Netbook Peripheral for such a need may help many people. While he is sick and recovering, he can only watch the ceiling. So a Projector attachment that can create a large Virtual Monitor on the Wall or ceiling will be a Boon for him. The inputs from him can be taken by part voice and part finger or toe twitching/movement.

Gesture Computing - Enhanced Usability

The most difficult part is the software GUI Accessibility Overlay. This Application has to ride above the OS Linux/Mac/Win as the case may be. It has to be built on Open Source only. We do not want to again move up the Health-Care Costs for the Common man.

Sensors, Actuators, Analytical & Environmental

The App must be very intelligent and wizard like, could be a webapp with a real human remote assistance at a extra service cost. It should operate on a Yes/No type of  Buttons to navigate. This will strain the patient the minimum; mentally and physically. This Exercise must help him recover faster, it should not become another pain in the neck.

The Fingers in two Hands twitch and the Computer watches his eyes and moves the cursor on the large screen sympathetically to the eye movement while listening to what he is saying.
